Temporary Part Time Consumer Sales Associate, Ellensburg & Selah, WA
Position Summary
As a Temporary Part Time Consumer Sales Associate covering the Ellensburg and Selah service areas, you will be responsible for generating sales leads and converting them into customers by directly engaging with potential clients at their homes and events. You will represent our company and its products or services, effectively communicating their value propositions and benefits to potential customers. The ideal candidate combines interpersonal skills, resilience, adaptability, and a customer-focused mindset to effectively engage with potential customers and drive sales results in a dynamic and challenging sales environment.Key Responsibilities
ProspectingIdentify and approach potential customers by going door-to-door within assigned territories or neighborhoods and attending events.
EngagementInitiate conversations with consumers in a friendly and professional manner, introducing yourself and the products or services you represent.
Product PresentationPresent the features, benefits, and advantages of the products or services to potential customers, highlighting how they can address the customers’ needs or solve their problems.
Customized PitchTailor your sales pitch to each individual customer, addressing their specific concerns, needs, and preferences.
Objection HandlingAddress any objections or concerns raised by potential customers and provide satisfactory responses to overcome barriers to sale.
Closing SalesUtilize effective closing techniques to secure sales agreements or commitments from interested prospects.
Lead GenerationGenerate leads by collecting contact information and following up with potential customers who express interest but may not be ready to purchase immediately.
DocumentationAccurately record sales interactions, customer information, and sales transactions using provided systems or tools.
Follow-UpFollow up with leads and prospects to nurture relationships, answer questions, and provide additional information as needed to facilitate the sales process.
Customer ServiceProvide excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale, addressing any issues or concerns that arise and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Meet Sales TargetsMeet or exceed sales targets and quotas set by the company within specified timeframes.
Market FeedbackProvide regular feedback to management on market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and any other relevant information that can inform sales strategies.
Maintain Territory CoverageEnsure thorough coverage of assigned territories or neighborhoods to maximize sales opportunities and reach potential customers.

Measuring Success
Sales RevenueThe total revenue generated from sales made by the salesperson within a specific period, such as weekly, monthly, or quarterly.
Number of SalesThe total number of sales closed by the salesperson within a given timeframe. This metric indicates the salesperson’s ability to convert leads into paying customers.
Conversion RateThe percentage of leads or prospects approached by the salesperson that result in a successful sale. A higher conversion rate indicates greater efficiency and effectiveness in sales efforts.
Average Order Value (AOV)The average amount of revenue generated from each sale made by the salesperson.
Lead GenerationThe number of new leads or prospects identified and added to the sales pipeline by the salesperson. Increasing lead generation demonstrates proactive prospecting and effective networking skills.
Activity MetricsQuantitative measures of the salesperson’s activities, such as the number of doors knocked, presentations given, follow-up calls made, and appointments scheduled.
Customer SatisfactionFeedback from customers regarding their satisfaction with the salesperson’s interactions, the products or services purchased, and overall experience.
Contributing to and developing a performance and results oriented culture.

Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales or customer service, especially in direct sales or customer-facing roles, is highly beneficial. Experience in selling similar products or services can provide valuable insights and skills that are applicable to door-to-door sales.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Drivers license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve sales targets
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Resilience and ability to handle rejection
- Basic computer skills for recording sales activities and generating reports
- A scrappy, nimble, innovative and hands-on contributor who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to accomplish goals and has a passion for competing and winning against larger players in the market.
Compensation
The pay for this position is $20.00 per hour + commission.
