    Mac Mail 2.0

    1. On the Toolbar, click Mail and select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
    2. The Accounts window opens.
    3. In the Account column, highlight the account you’d like to edit.
    4. Locate the menu labeled Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). This should be set to mail.rainierconnect.com.
    5. Select the Server Settings button.
    6. A new window will appear.
    7. Set Authentication to Password.
    8. Enter your full email address in the User Name field.
    9. Enter your password in the Password field.
    10. Click the OK button.

    Mac Mail 1.3

    1. On the Toolbar, click Mail and select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
    2. The Accounts window opens.
    3. Select the Accounts button (@ symbol) at the top.
    4. In the Account column, highlight the account you’d like to edit.
    5. Locate the menu labeled Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP).
    6. Select the Server Settings button.
    7. The SMTP Server Options window will appear.
    8. Change the Outgoing Mail Server to mail.rainierconnect.com
    9. Set Authentication to Password.
    10. Enter your full email address in the User Name field.
    11. Enter your password in the Password field.
    12. Click the OK button.

    4. On the left under Description, highlight the e-mail account you’d like to change and click the Edit button.

    7. A new window will appear labeled SMTP Server Options.
    8. Change the Outgoing Mail Server to mail.rainierconnect.com
    9. Set Authentication to Password.
    10. Enter your full email address in the User Name field.

    12. Click the OK button.

    Mac Mail 1.0

    1. On the Toolbar, click Mail and select Preferences from the drop-down menu.
    2. The Mail Preferences window opens.

    4. On the left under Description, highlight the e-mail account you’d like to change and click the Edit button.
    5. Change the Outgoing Mail Server to mail.rainierconnect.com
    6. At the bottom of the Account Information tab place a check-mark for Use authentication when sending mail.
    7. Enter your full email address in the SMTP User field.
    8. Enter your password in the SMTP Password field.
    9. Click the OK button.

    Outlook Express Mac

    1. Open Outlook Express.
    2. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
    3. Click to select the email account you wish to modify and click the Edit button.
    4. Under Sending Mail, click the Click here for advanced sending options.
    5. Click to select the SMTP server requires authentication check box.
    6. Click to select the Use same settings as incoming mail server option.
    7. Click the small, square Close button in the upper left of the Advanced Sending Options drop down window to return to the Edit Account window.
    8. Click the OK button to return to the Accounts window.
    9. Click the square Close button in the upper left of the Accounts window to return to the primary Outlook Express window.
    10. Quit Outlook Express. The next time you start Outlook Express the new settings will take affect.
