At Lightcurve Internet, we believe strong communities start with strong connections–the kind that happen both online and right down the street.
This holiday season, we’re shining a spotlight on the creativity and heart of Tacoma-area small businesses through our Small Business Saturday campaign. It’s a month-long celebration of local shops, restaurants, and makers (the people who make our community vibrant) and we’re inviting you to be part of it.
A Season to Celebrate Local
Small businesses are the heartbeat of the South Sound. They’re where we find the perfect gifts, friendly smiles, and that unmistakable local charm. By shopping locally, you’re not only discovering something special; you’re also helping families, neighbors, and dreams thrive.
That’s why we launched Lightcurve’s Small Business Saturday campaign: to celebrate these incredible businesses and make it easy (and fun!) for our community to support them. Each week, we feature a different local business, add a little festive flair to their storefront, and give shoppers like you a chance to win a gift basket from the businesses we feature.
How the Campaign Works
Here’s how you can join in the fun and support Tacoma-area small businesses this season:
- Spotlight Mondays: Follow Lightcurve Internet on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to see which business we’re featuring each week. You’ll discover new places to shop, dine, or explore, right in your neighborhood.
- Giveaway Fridays: Each Friday, we announce a lucky winner who receives a gift basket from that week’s featured business. Entering is simple: just like, comment, or follow our posts, or fill out the quick entry form on our website.*
- Week 1: Odd Otter
- Week 2: Old Mill
- Week 3: Tim’s Pharmacy
- Week 4: Happy Piggy
It’s our way of giving back to the community while making local shopping even more exciting.
Why Shopping Local Matters
Every time you choose a local shop over a national chain, you’re making a real difference. You’re keeping money in the Tacoma-area economy, supporting local jobs, and helping the community thrive.
Here’s what your local spending does:
- Supports your neighbors: Local business owners are the people coaching your kids’ soccer teams and volunteering at local events.
- Builds community connection: Every “thank you” and smile exchanged strengthens Tacoma’s small-town heart.
- Creates memorable experiences: You’ll find gifts and services that reflect the personality and creativity of your hometown.
And now, with Lightcurve’s Small Business Saturday campaign, shopping local comes with the added bonus of holiday giveaways and festive fun!
