    Product Manager / Senior Product Manager

    Position Summary

    As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and success of our product portfolio. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of telecommunications products, from conception to launch and beyond. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of both customer needs and market trends in the telecommunications industry. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, will be essential to ensure the successful delivery of innovative and market-leading products. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a customer-centric approach to product management.     Key Responsibilities:

    Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of telecommunications products from ideation to launch and beyond. Define product requirements, prioritize features, and manage the product roadmap to meet customer needs and business objectives.

    Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements. Use insights to identify market opportunities, validate product concepts, and make data-driven decisions to guide product development.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to ensure successful product delivery. Collaborate on product development, launch planning, go-to-market strategies, and ongoing product support.

    Product Launch and Go-to-Market: Lead the planning and execution of product launches, including defining positioning, messaging, pricing, and promotional strategies. Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to generate awareness, drive demand, and achieve sales targets.

    Product Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate product performance, customer satisfaction, and business impact. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize product features, pricing, and positioning.

    Customer Feedback and Insights: Gather feedback from customers, sales teams, and support channels to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences. Use customer insights to prioritize product enhancements, address issues, and improve overall customer experience.

    Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and legal obligations related to telecommunications products and services. Stay informed about regulatory changes and proactively address compliance issues.

    Measuring success

    • Product Adoption and Growth: Success can be measured by the rate of adoption and growth of the product in the market. This includes metrics such as user acquisition, customer retention, and expansion of the product’s user base over time.

    • Revenue and Profitability: A successful product manager should contribute to the company’s bottom line by driving revenue growth and improving profitability. Key metrics include revenue generated by the product, average revenue per user (ARPU), and gross margin.

    • Customer Satisfaction and Retention: High levels of customer satisfaction and retention are indicators of a successful product. Metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), customer satisfaction surveys, and churn rate can be used to measure customer sentiment and loyalty.

    • Market Share and Competitive Positioning: Success can be measured by the product’s market share and competitive positioning relative to other offerings in the market. Metrics such as market share growth, share of wallet, and competitive analysis can provide insights into the product’s market performance.

    • Alignment with Business Objectives: A successful product manager should align product initiatives with the company’s overall business objectives and strategic priorities. Metrics such as goal attainment, strategic alignment, and contribution to key performance indicators (KPIs) can gauge the impact of the product on the broader business goals.

    Experience and qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is typically required. Advanced degrees or certifications in product management, business administration, or a specialized area is a plus.
    • 2+ years demonstrated experience in product management, 6+ years for a senior product manager – including managing the entire product life cycle from concept to launch, as well as ongoing product optimization and support.
    • A deep understanding of the industry, market trends and competitive landscape, experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
    • The ability to analyze market data, evaluate business opportunities, and make data-driven decisions that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
    • Effective leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.  
    • Effective project management skills, including planning, organization, and execution.
    • Critical thinker with a strong data and analytics orientation and a demonstrated record of using metrics and analytics to drive performance improvements.
    • Ability to think creatively for solutions that meet customers’ needs and the ability to operate with flexibility.
    • A scrappy, nimble, innovative, and hands-on contributor who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to accomplish goals and has a passion for competing and winning against larger players in the market.

    Compensation

    The annual salary range for this position is $84,000 to $122,000 per year.
